If you're visiting Nonoichi, there's a spot worth a small detour — and it could make for good souvenir shopping too.
Hokuriku Seika's head office (北陸製菓本社) has a small shop for souvenirs and a convenience store on site. Beaver (ビーバー), a rice cracker snack well known across the Hokuriku region, is said to have originated right here in Nonoichi.
There's no word of factory tours, but even just stopping by the head office lets you brush up against a bit of that history. It's reachable on foot from JR Nishi-Kanazawa Station.
